— FINAL — HOGS 92, USC 79

10:05 p.m. — As the clock expires here in Fayetteville, the Hogs will extend their lead in the SEC West to a game and a half over Mississippi State as they take out South Carolina by 13, 92-79.

10:03 p.m. — Courtney sets up yet another alley and this time it’s Michael throwing it down, Razorbacks give up a foul on the other end but it won’t matter with under a minute to go and up double digits.

10:00 p.m. — South Carolina resorts to fouling even though it’s been over here in Fayetteville, Razorbacks up 15 with 1:18 to go as USC calls timeout.

9:58 p.m. — The 3’s keep falling for USC, but so do the free throws for Arkansas, Hogs up 86-71 following trips to the line from both Michael and Rotnei.

9:56 p.m. — Courtney’s becoming a frequent visitor to the stripe as he gets fouled on back-2-back possessions and manages to hit 3 of his 4 shots, Downey again responds for Carolina though with another quick bucket, Razorbacks ahead 82-68.

9:54 p.m. — Downey slips but manages to regain his footing and take the ball to the rack, UA still leading 77-66.

9:52 p.m. — Coming into the final media timeout of the night, Arkansas leads it 77-64 with 3:46 to play.

9:50 p.m. — No worries however as Marshawn’s able to work his way back to the line and hit both shots, Razorbacks up 13 again, 77-64.

9:49 p.m. — Bud Walton grows a little quieter as Raley-Ross hits again and cuts the Razorback lead to the closest it’s been in a long time at 11.

9:47 p.m. — Julysses slashes through the lane to lay it up and in, USC again responds with yet another 3-pointer, Hogs up 75-62.

9:45 p.m. — Powell swishes both of his freebies coming out of the media timeout, however USC answers with another Raley-Ross 3 on the following trip. Pelphrey calls time to talk it over with his Hogs, currently up 73-59.

9:42 p.m. — Arkansas still holding onto a 15 point lead heading into the 3rd media timeout of the 2nd, Hogs up 71-56 with 6:25 remaining.

9:40 p.m. — Raley-Ross hits the lay-up and the foul shot for the classic 3-point play, UA still out in front 71-56.

9:38 p.m. — Fortson draws the foul and manages to get one of ’em to fall, Hogs up 71-53.

9:36 p.m. — Farmer decides it’s time for him to join the Razorback dunk-fest as he throws down a high-flying slam of his own to put the Razorbacks at 70 on the night with 9 minutes to still to go.

9:35 p.m. — Marcus goes to the line for the Hogs and sinks ’em both, however Downey responds by laying it in on the other end.

9:34 p.m. — Muldrow tips it in for USC to cut the Arkansas lead to 17 again, 66-49.

9:33 p.m. — Courtney takes full advantage of the 1-and-1 before Jemal subs in for him, Razorbacks lead it 66-47.

9:29 p.m. — Michael Washington hits the turn-around jumper to become the 33rd Razorback in school history to score 1,000 points in his career, he is also now only the 4th player in UA history with 1,000 points, 600 rebounds, and 100 blocks… Congrats Mike!! Hogs up 64-47 with 11:02 to play.

9:26 p.m. — Fortson draws the contact and drains both of his freebies to push the Hogs’ cushion back up to 17 at 62-45.

9:24 p.m. — Downey hits back-2-back 3’s to stop the bleeding for USC temporarily, Razorbacks still up 15, 60-45.

9:21 p.m. — Courtney lets Devan Downey know just what he thinks of him, pulling up and nailing a long 3 from the top of the key in his face to put the Gamecocks in a world of hurt, Hogs up 21, 60-39.

9:19 p.m. — Heading into the 1st media timeout of the 2nd half, the Razorbacks are really pouring it on South Carolina, up 18 with 15:13 to go.

9:16 p.m. — DELVON! Back-2-back monster slams by the junior are followed by yet another Marshawn dunk and the Hogs are suddenly blowing the doors off of Downey and company here in Fayetteville, 57-39.

9:13 p.m. — Hogs lovin’ the alley-oop tonight as Courtney and Marshawn might just of made Sporstcenter’s Top 10 with Powell throwing down a sick 1-handed slam off of the assist by Courtney, UA leads it by 12, 51-39.

9:12 p.m. — Marcus and Marshawn team up to snag the ball away from Jefferson and Marcus finishes the play as well, dropping off the jumper from just inside the free-throw line, Hogs up 49-39.

9:10 p.m. — Same play, different player as this time it’s Marshawn getting the shot to go, drawing the foul, and missing the and-1, Hogs up 47-38.

9:09 p.m. — Washington draws the and-1 as he jams it home, however he can’t knock it down from the line, Hogs up 45-38.

9:07 p.m. — Courtney gives his best Ryan Mallett impression as he slings it down court to an open Rotnei who drills the 3 off the left wing to open up the scoring here in the 2nd, however Carolina reponds with a couple quick buckets of their own to make it 43-38 UA.

9:03 p.m. — Hogs hit the floor for some 2nd half warm-ups to a rousing ovation here in Bud Walton as the Hog Wild Band rocks out to some Johnny Cash, 2nd half action now just moments away!

— HALF — HOGS 40, USC 33

8:50 p.m. — Britt lays it up and in off of the fastbreak to close out the 1st, Hogs lead it by 7 heading into the locker rooms at the half, 40-33.

8:49 p.m. — Jackson gets the sky hook to fall as the Gamecocks cut UA’s lead to 5, 38-33.

8:48 p.m. — This time it’s Fortson drawing the foul and he drains both shots to put the Razorbacks up 7, 38-31.

8:46 p.m. — Delvon earns a trip to the stripe and misses his first 2 shots, however drills the 3rd one off of the lane violation with a little help from the iron.

8:43 p.m. — Razorbacks play some tough defense and force Carolina to turn it over off an errant pass into the backcourt, Delvon gets Courtney’s put-back to roll in as the Hogs go up by 4, 35-31.

8:40 p.m. — Bud Walton erupts into ear-splitting boos as the Courtney gets robbed by the refs after making a rediculous steal and then not getting the jump ball call as he and a couple Gamecocks hit the floor, Hogs still lead it by 2, 33-31.

8:35 p.m. — Julysses does some work on the Gamecocks as he makes a move and throws the alley to Marshawn who slams it home to the liking of all those in attendance here in Fayetteville, Hogs up 31-27.

8:33 p.m. — Marshawn breaks the tie as he drives the lane and lays it in, UA in front now 29-27.

8:29 p.m. — Bryant swats Downey’s lay-up attempt outta here as the crowd keeps raising the intensity in here on South Carolina, still knotted up a 27-27 heading into the 3rd media timeout of the night.

8:28 p.m. — Downey works his way under the hoop for a quick lay-up off of the full-court pressure by the Gamecocks to tie us back up at 27 all.

8:26 p.m. — Bud Walton hits their feet and starts calling the Hogs as Marshawn and Courtney are able to put together a quick 4-0 run to give the Razorbacks the lead back at 27-25.

8:25 p.m. — Galloway and Bryant are the 2 trading off baskets this time, however Galloway’s was a 3 and the Razorbacks find themselves still trailing by 2, 23-25.

8:23 p.m. — Spinella bricks both of his foul shots coming out of the timeout and the Hogs get it to Julysses on the other end who scorches the net with a 3-ball of his own to make it a 1-point game.

8:20 p.m. — Muldrow and Clarke swap off a couple of quick shots and going into the 2nd media timeout of the night the Hogs find themselves down 4, 18-22.

8:19 p.m. — South Carolina continues lighting it up from beyond the arc as this time it’s Muldrow again hitting the 3-point bucket, USC leads it 20-16.

8:15 p.m. — Raley-Ross and Rotnei swap off 3’s again before Downey gets back into the action dropping off a mid-range jumper of his own. Marshawn then draws the foul on the following trip for the Hogs and sinks both of his freebies to make it a 17-11 game with Carolina still out in front.

8:14 p.m. — Downey sets up the Raley-Ross 3 with some nasty moves, but the Hogs have a 3-point threat of their own as Rotnei drops off his own bomb from beyond the left wing to make it 12-11 USC.

8:11 p.m. — The Gamecocks’ main man Downey is able to draw the foul and sink both of his shots to send it to the 1st media timeout of the night here in Fayetteville with USC holding onto a 9-8 lead.

8:10 p.m. — Carolina kicks it out to a wide open Muldrow off the right wing and the big man sinks the 3 ball, however the Hogs rally right back and answer with another bucket by Powell to make it 8-7 Arkansas.

8:09 p.m. — Downey lays it up and in for the Gamecocks, Hogs still in front 6-4.

8:08 p.m. — Following the USC turnover, Britt gets the put-back floater to go and extends the Razorbacks lead to 6-2.

8:07 p.m. — After giving up a quick slam to Muldrow, Hogs fly back up court and get it to Marshawn again who drops it off to make it 4-2 Arkansas.

8:04 p.m. — Hogs control the tip and get it to Marshawn as he drives and drops off the floater from the left to get the scoring going here, UA up 2-0.

8:00 p.m. — Bud Walton starts rocking as they hit the lights to introduce the Hogs’ starting line-up, the first 5 out on the floor for the Razorbacks tonight will be: Washington, Powell, Britt, Fortson, & Clarke.

7:54 p.m. — With the national anthem coming to a close that can only mean one thing, it’s time for a little RAZORBACK BASKETBALL here in Fayetteville! Tip’s now only moments away.

7:48 p.m. — Both South Carolina and Arkansas head back to the lockers for some final pre-game prep as the Hog Wild Band and Hog Trough keep Bud Walton rocking.

7:45 p.m. — Rotnei and Marshawn seem to have found their stroke as they both continue draining shots during warm-ups, action tip’s here in Bud Walton in only 15 minutes.

7:41 p.m. — The Basketball Palace of Mid-America gets loud for the first time tonight as a Joe Johnson highlight video is played over the video board, student section’s already hit capacity and the fans keep pouring in with tip less than 20 minutes away now.

7:35 p.m. — The Bud Walton crowd will definitely be a factor again tonight as the Razorback faithful continue steadily streaming into their seats.

7:29 p.m. — Hogs hit the floor for warm-ups wearing some new "IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING" Adidas shirts as USC retreats back to the locker room.

7:15 p.m. — 45 minutes out from tip here in Bud Walton and both the Hogs and Gamecocks are out shooting around on the floor as the student section has already began packing ’em in and getting loud early.
