Bearcat Invitational Canceled Due to Rain

CINCINNATI, Ohio. – The Bearcat Invitational, featuring the 17th-ranked Arkansas men’s golf team, has been canceled due to heavy rain in the area. The event will not be rescheduled.

The Bearcat Invitational, played at Coldstream Country Club, had just begun before rain forced play to be suspended after teams had completed anywhere from three to five holes. The Razorbacks were in second, one shot off the lead, at 3-under par before play was suspended.

William Buhl, Julian Perico and Luiz Garza were all 1-under par when play was halted. Buhl birdied and Perico each birdied their first holes. Garza birdied his first two holes before dropping a shot on his third hole. Tyson Reeder and Wil Gibson were both even par through three holes while Mason Overstreet was 2-over through five holes.

The Razorbacks will return to action Oct. 8-9 at the Jerry Pate Invitational (Old Overton Course – Vestavia Hills, Ala.).
