STAR OF THE GAME
Jessica Jackson was one of five Razorbacks to reach double-digit scoring with 15 points in UA’s 100-54 win over MVSU on Saturday. The performance also marked the 12th time in 13 games this season that the freshman from Jacksonville, Ark., has reached double figures. Jackson’s presence was also felt under the basket, as she recorded seven rebounds and helped UA outrebound MVSU 45-to-28.
SEQUENCE OF THE GAME
After being held scoreless the entire first half, McKenzie Adams hit back-to-back three-pointers right out of the locker room to begin the second half to spark the Razorbacks. UA shot 50 percent (7-for-14) from beyond the arc in the second half, as Adams finished 3-for-6 from distance on her way to scoring 11 second-half points.
TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
No one inside Bud Walton Arena may have believed that the Razorbacks would go on to score 100 points based off the team’s start. Nearly five minutes in, UA held just a 6-4 lead over MVSU. The Razorbacks then ripped off a 27-3 run over a span of 9:14 in the first half, over which MVSU was held without a field goal for 10 minutes (0-for-11) and turned the ball over 10 times.
STAT OF THE GAME
Arkansas reached the century mark for the first time since the 2009-10 season. The feat last occured almost exactly to the day four years ago when the Razorbacks scored 102 points in a win over Sam Houston State on Dec. 29, 2009.
