PLAYER OF THE GAME

The lone senior on this year’s squad, Keira Peak carried Arkansas to its first true road win of the season in convincing fashion Wednesday night. Peak scored 20 points to tie a season-high, while adding five rebounds, two assists and a steal for added measure. Appearing in multiple categories on the stat sheet, there were a number of hustle plays and drawn charges that will not show up but were equally as influential in Arkansas’ 64-53 win.

PLAY OF THE GAME

With Kansas mounting a late comeback and the Allen Fieldhouse crowd bringing new life to the game, freshman Jessica Jackson stepped up and hit a clutch three-pointer that sent the Jayhawk faithful back into their seats and helped UA push its lead back to 57-51 with 3:23 left. Jackson added a pair of key free throws down the stretch as well to finish with a perfect night at the charity stripe.

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME

Just as momentum appeared close to tilting the Jayhawks’ way, Jackson’s late three-pointer crushed any hopes of a Kansas comeback and led to an ensuing 10-0 run by Arkansas to close the game.

STAT OF THE GAME

Five: It continues to be a case of scoring by committee for Arkansas, as another balanced Razorback attack during the win marked the fifth time in nine games this season that four Razorbacks have reached double-digit scoring. Peak led the way with 20 points, while Jackson added 15, Calli Berna scored 14 and Jhasmin Bowen had 10 in what was a return trip home for the Wichita, Kan., native.
