PLAYER OF THE GAME
Four Razorbacks reached double-digit scoring for the fourth time this season. Perhaps none of that happens without the efforts of Calli Berna. The junior point guard messed around and nearly got a triple-double, finishing with 12 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds in the team’s 88-37 win. Berna was an efficient 6-for-8 from the floor and turned the ball over just twice. In a word, "Efficienct."
Notable mention has to go to Jhasmin Bowen, who finished with a career-high 20 points and eight rebounds. The junior was an established force down low all night against the Redhawks, helping UA out-rebound SEMO 44-to-30.
PLAY OF THE GAME
Berna set up a number of teammates to earn traditional three-point plays, but the best one came in the second half on a nice feed in transition to Jessica Jackson down low. Jackson was able to quickly take the pass, position herself, go up strong with contact and finish the one-handed score. Jackson finished with 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting.
TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
UA strung together a 17-0 run in the first half, holding SEMO scoreless for over 10 minutes. The stretch helped the Razorbacks open up a 23-4 lead at the 7:54 mark, which was never rivaled the remainder of the game.
STAT OF THE GAME
1-for-13: The Redhawks were just 1-for-13 from three-point range on the night, as the Razorbacks frustrated them all night defensively. UA entered the game second in the SEC in three-point defense.
