Bowl Practices Continue as Hogs End with Scrim
BY ANDRES FOCIL
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Minnesota was on the Razorbacks’ mind during practice on Monday. The Hogs continued their week of practice in preparation for the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl in Nashville, Tenn. Practice went well and morale was high following the week off. The coaching staff also allowed a time at the end of practice for freshmen and red shirts to scrimmage.
Nutt was pleased with the day’s efforts.
“We got our young guys a lot of scrimmage time today,” Nutt said. “They had a lot of enthusiasm. These guys love to play and this [the scrimmage] was a great reward for them. A lot of guys have put up their pads and this is one of the advantages about having bowl practice.”
Nutt was convinced that the eight days off was nothing but good for the coaches and players a like.
“There is so much difference, it’s unbelievable,” Nutt said. “Just getting away, everybody’s a little bit fresher. Just having eight days away from everything and being a student.”
The Razorbacks will continue practice on Wednesday as they continue to focus on the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Game time is set for a 1 pm kickoff at The Coliseum in Nashville, Tenn. The game will be televised on ESPN.
