FAYETTEVILLE – Nonperishable food items will be collected at Tuesday’s @RazorbackMBB game against Missouri as part of ‘Beat Week’.
Both Arkansas and Missouri’s Student Alumni Association will sponser a food drive as part of a campus rivalry. The Razorbacks will be trying to collect more food (by weight) than the Tigers will on Feb. 13 when the teams meet again in Columbia, Mo. The event was founded as a fun apition to ‘Beat Week’, designed to promote friendly competition and philanthropic efforts among students.
Volunteers will be at each entry 90 minutes prior to tip off to collect canned goods and nonperishable food items.
Tuesday’s game will be the kickoff for ESPN’s Rivalry week and will be the 40th meeting between the two programs. The Razorbacks hold a 6-0 record in Bud Walton Arena against the Tigers. Tip is slated for 6:04 p.m. on ESPNU.
