Carr, Rice Invited to Riviera/ITA Women's All-American

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.- For the fourth consecutive year, the Arkansas Razorbacks will send a doubles pair to the Riviera/ITA Women’s All-American Championships. Sophomore Tatum Rice and junior Jackie Carr were invited to compete in the pre-qualifying doubles bracket at Pepperdine University, the first invite for both student-athletes.

Pre-qualifying matches will begin on Sept. 29, with qualifying matches set for Oct. 2-3. The main draw will run from Oct. 4-7, with qualifying and main draw matches being held at the Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

In addition to playing for the All-American national title, Rice and Carr will also be competing for a berth into the 2018 Oracle ITA Fall National Championships in Surprise, Ariz. Doubles semifinalists and the consolation doubles champion and finalists will advance to the end of fall national championship.

Carr and Rice went 8-3 as a pair last season, primarily in fall tournament play.

The Razorbacks will return to the court for tournament play this fall in the team’s first season under head coach Courtney Steinbock.
