FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Nine-year Women’s National Basketball Association professional Shameka Christon continues to play well at the next level in the 2014-15 season.
Christon, who played at Arkansas from 2001-04, began her career with the New York Liberty, was on the Chicago Sky roster for a season and is currently with the San Antonio Stars. This season, four games in, Christon is averaging 3.0 points per game, 1.5 rebounds per game and 13.0 minutes per contest.
For her career, Christon, who worked with the Razorback women’s basketball team as a radio analyst for one season, averages 10.5 ppg and 3.0 rpg. She has played in 278 games averaging 25.5 minutes per game. Christon and the Stars are in action Wednesday, May 28, against Tulsa and travel to Minnesota Friday, May 30. Both games tip at 7 p.m.
