FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Former University of Arkansas assistant coach Clifton Ealy has rejoined the Razorback football coaching staff after a three-year absence it was announced by UA head football coach Houston Nutt on Tuesday.
Ealy will replace George Pugh as the Razorbacks’ tight ends coach. Pugh resigned last week citing personal reasons.
“I’m excited about returning to the University of Arkansas to be a part of the Razorback football program,” Ealy said. “I’m looking forward to working on the offensive side of the football with the tight ends. I’m grateful to Coach (Houston) Nutt for giving me an opportunity to join his staff.”
It will mark the second time Ealy has served under Coach Nutt at Arkansas. The Conway, Ark., native served as the Hogs’ bandits and rovers coach in Nutt’s first two seasons (1998-99) in Fayetteville.
