FAYETTEVILLE – University of Arkansas head football coach Bobby Petrino met with the media Monday afternoon to discuss the 6th-ranked Razorbacks’ victory over Tennessee and to preview this Saturday’s matchup with Mississippi State at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, Ark.
Coach Petrino commented that he hoped the Razorbacks’ offensive attack in the 49-7 win against Tennessee would carry on for the remainder of the season.
"I really felt like the big plays were something that helped us tremendously, and it’s great to get our running game going," Coach Petrino said. "When you get your run game going it helps everything else out and helps you be more physical."
Coach Petrino also mentioned that he is excited for the seniors to play their final game in Little Rock, and for the work they have done to help build the program.
"This senior class has done a lot for us, and really changed a lot of things around here and set the standards very high," Coach Petrino said. "So I’m excited about them. I’m excited to finish this year off the way we need to finish, and then what lies ahead of us."
Kickoff for Saturday’s game is set for 2:30 p.m., and the game will be broadcast on CBS.
