Curl, Warren Join On The Air With Bret Bielema
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – “On the Air with Bret Bielema,” Coach Bielema’s weekly radio show presented by AT&T and West Rock Coffee Company, returns on Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Catfish Hole.
This week’s show will feature freshman defensive back Kamren Curl and freshman wide receiver and return specialist De’Vion Warren as the Razorbacks prepare for Saturday’s game at Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi.
A product of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Curl stepped into the starting role at cornerback when junior Ryan Pulley went down with an injury in the season opener. After seven games, including six starts, Curl is fourth on the team in tackles (30), second in the SEC in tackles per game (4.30) among freshmen, and tied with senior cornerback Henre’ Toliver for the team lead in pass breakups (5). His five pass breakups are the most by an Arkansas freshman since Jerry Franklin finished the 2008 season with five.
Warren, from Monroe, Louisiana, returned a kickoff in the third quarter against No. 21 Auburn last Saturday 100 yards for a touchdown. He became the first Razorback since 2014 to return a kickoff for a touchdown. It was the longest kickoff return for a score since Felix Jones’ 100-yard kickoff return in 2006 against Ole Miss, it equaled the longest touchdown in Arkansas history, and it is tied for the longest scoring play in the FBS this season.
Live from the Catfish Hole for the ninth straight year, Chuck Barrett, the voice of the Razorbacks, will host Coach Bielema on the one-hour show. The show will be carried throughout the state of Arkansas on the Razorback Sports Network and locally in Fayetteville on 99.5 FM, 92.1 FM and 93.3 FM.
Kickoff on Saturday is scheduled for 11 a.m. CT. The game will be televised on the SEC Network with Dave Neal (play-by-play), Matt Stinchcomb (analyst) and Dawn Davenport (reporter) on the call.
