DeLay, Hoops Join OSAS Staff

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Britta DeLay and Jacob Hoops join the Office of Student-Athlete Success as academic counselors, the University of Arkansas Department of Athletics announced today.

DeLay will work with baseball, women’s cross country and track and field, while Hoops works with softball and swimming and diving for the 2015-16 season.

DeLay is a native of Atlanta, Ga., and received her undergraduate degree at Arkansas, deciding on the Fayetteville campus after attending a Razorback football game with her family. She also received her master’s degree at Arkansas in recreation and sports management while working as a graduate assistant in OSAS.

Academics

Recently DeLay was an academic advisor at Georgia State University working with football and men’s golf while serving as the coordinator for tutorial services and life skills. She and husband Gunner DeLay Jr., reside in Fayetteville.

Hoops is also a University of Arkansas graduate. He worked as a graduate assistant within the OSAS office and served as an intern for the football operations staff. A native of West Fork, Ark., Hoops is pursuing his master’s degree in recreation and sport management at Arkansas.
