Diamond Doll Applications Now Available for the 2008 Baseball Season

Applications will be accepted Tuesday, October 3, from 1:00 – 4:00 at the Baseball Office, Baum Stadium.

Preliminary Interviews will be held on Tuesday, October 9.

Final Interviews will be held on Thursday, October 11.

RAZORBACK DIAMOND DOLLS REQUIREMENTS AND DUTIES

I. Requirements: a. Must have 2.6 GPA overall

b. Must be enrolled in at least 10 hours each semester at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.

c. Cannot be on disciplinary or academic probation.

d. Must not have a job or other responsibility which will interfere with game day duties. If your job or other responsibility conflicts with either weekend games or Tuesday and Wednesday games, please give careful consideration as to whether or not you will be able to fulfill your responsibility as a Diamond Doll.

e. There will be 32 home games; you will be required to work at least 24 of the games.

II. Interview Procedure – Applicants will be judged on the following:

a. Poise and Personality

b. Appearance

c. Ability to meet and work with people easily

d. Desire to work in a service capacity

e. Enthusiasm for Razorback Baseball

III. Diamond Doll Duties:

a. Game Day:1. Must be available for home games2. Sell scorecards and media guides at home games3. Hostess, as needed for home games4. Bat girl for both home and visiting team

b. Office Duties:1. Be available to spend 10 hours per semester volunteering in the baseball office or for Pagnozzi Charities. 2. Volunteer duties will include helping with mail, computer data entries, telephone duty and other miscellaneous office work as requested.

c. Miscellaneous:1. Attend monthly and/or designated meetings.2. Attend various activities given specifically for the baseball program, such as picnics, luncheons, etc.3. Take part in any activities sponsored by the Diamond Dolls.4. Participate at Pagnozzi Charities events.

IV. Rules and Regulations:

a. No smoking or drinking while representing the University Athletic Department.

b. Be on time or early for each duty or event.

c. When representing the University of Arkansas Athletic Department, be attired in appropriate clothing.

d. Have appropriate clothes clean and neat at all times.

e. Be constantly aware of the spirit and attitude of a Diamond Doll and display it in your conduct at all times.

f. On Sunday evening, October 14, there will be a “Get Acquainted Dinner” for the 2007/08 Diamond Dolls.
