FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Redshirt freshman men’s golfer Joe Doramus was named to the Southeastern Conference Community Service Team late Monday by the league office in Birmingham, Ala.
Doramus, a Little Rock, Ark., native was a featured player at the Humane Society Golf Tournament and has participated in several golf clinics among other activities.
"Joe is a terrific young man that has a lot of potential on the golf course," Arkansas head coach Brad McMakin said. "He had a very good summer and was in the mix this fall. He continues to improve and I think could definitely challenge for one of our travel spots next fall. The balance between school and practice or competition for any student-athlete is a difficult one, and for Joe to be able to add to that with community service projects speaks volumes about the type of person he is."
The Razorbacks will learn of their NCAA Regional assignment on Monday, May 9, and begin competition on Thursday, May 19, as they seek their second trip in three years to the NCAA Championships.
