Eagan Named to Academic All-District Team

2016 CoSIDA Academic All-District Teams

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Junior Clark Eagan has been voted into the Academic All-District Team on Friday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). This is the first time Eagan has earned the honor in his career and he’s the first Razorback to be named to the team since 2010.

Athletes on this list will have a chance to be voted as CoSIDA Academic All-America. To be eligible for Academic All-America® consideration, a student-athlete must be a primary starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his current institution and be nominated by his sports information director.

Eagan has been one of Arkansas’ most consistent players on the field this season and he has carried that performance into the classroom as well, compiling a 3.70 GPA as a recreation and sport management major.

On the field, Eagan is hitting .304 as Arkansas’ all-around player. He’s one of three Hogs currently hitting .300 or higher and has 56 hits on the year, which is the second-highest total on the team. Eagan is the only player on the team to have played in all 45 games this season and spent time at third base, first base and in the outfield.

Eagan and the Razorbacks are currently in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to face division-rival No. 13 LSU in another Southeastern Conference series this weekend (May 6-8). Friday night’s series opener is slated for a 7 p.m. CDT first pitch at Alex Box Stadium and will be broadcast on SEC Network+. Saturday’s game 2 will be at 6:30 p.m. on ESPNU and Sunday’s series finale will be at 1 p.m. on SEC Network+. All games can also be heard on the Razorback Sports Network from IMG.
