East coast swing faces Lady Razorback tennis

FAYETTEVILLE – While jumping up fifteen spots in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, the University of Arkansas Lady Razorbacks will look to get back to their winning ways this weekend on the road.

The Lady’Backs will play 16th-ranked William & Mary on Friday and No. 44 North Carolina State on Sunday to complete the east coast swing.

“Both of these match-ups will be a solid challenge for us as we look to close out our non-conference schedule on a high note,” said Arkansas head coach Michael Hegarty. “It is much like an SEC road weekend with the Friday and Sunday match-up, and will be a great simulation for us."

Arkansas, 4-3, is hoping to bounce back from three straight loses at the ITA National Team Indoor, all against teams ranked in the top 12 in the nation.

William & Mary is currently 5-3 while N.C. State sports a 3-1 record.

The Lady’Backs will cross time zones featuring No. 1 ranked Aurelija Miseviciute in singles along with two-time SEC freshman of the week, Anouk Tigu. In doubles Miseviciute and Ela Kaluder are No. 12, Maryori Franco and Nanar Airapetian come in at No. 45, while Audrey Bordeleau and Tigu are a perfect 5-0 in doubles.

In singles, William & Mary features No. 12 Megan Moulton-Levy, 55th-ranked Ragini Acharya and No. 83 Katarina Zoricic. In doubles, Acharya and Zoricic are ranked 27th while Moulton-Levy and Zoricic are No. 44 overall in doubles.

N.C. State features two players ranked nationally in singles, Daria Petrovic at 79th and Berkeley Brock at 97th.
