Eibner named to All-Star Lineup

FAYETTEVILLE – Sophomore Brett Eibner added another honor late Tuesday night when he was named to the College Baseball Foundation’s National All-Star Lineup for his pitching performances last week.

Eibner pitched a complete game one-hitter for the Razorbacks in a 2-0 win over No. 1 Georgia in Athens, Ga., on Sunday afternoon while also tossing three innings against La.-Monroe on Tuesday. For his efforts, Eibner was named SEC Pitcher of the Week as well one of five Louisville Slugger National Players of the Week.

The College Baseball Foundation All-Star Lineup is a first for Eibner and he is the second Razorback this season to be recognized on the list. Senior Chase Leavitt was recognized on March 9 after his fantastic series against the California Golden Bears. Arkansas head coach Dave Van Horn was also named to the lineup in 2008 after he earned his 800th career victory.

The Razorbacks are back on the road for another pivotal Southeastern Conference series with the Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville, Tenn., beginning Friday evening. For more information regarding Razorback baseball or University of Arkansas athletics please visit ArkansasRazorbacks.com.
