Eibner's catch on SportsCenter

TALLAHASEE, Fla. – Sophomore Brett Eibner cracked ESPN SportsCenter’s Top 10 Plays late Friday night when his catch up against the center-field wall against Florida St. was named the No. 5 play of the day.

With one out and a runner on first, Eibner went back on a deep fly ball and caught the ball while crashing into the padded wall. After falling to the ground and laying there for a moment, Eibner stood up and made his way back to the Arkansas dugout.

Eibner’s catch getting showcased on ESPN is a first for Eibner but not for the Razorbacks. Chase Leavitt made a highlight reel grab diving into the corner at Mississippi State last season which featured the snag in both its Baseball Tonight’s Webgems as well as SportCenter’s top 10 plays.

The Razorbacks continue their best of three series with the Florida State Seminoles on Saturday at Dick Howser Field in Tallahassee. For more information regarding Razorback baseball or University of Arkansas athletics please visit ArkansasRazorbacks.com.
