Eight Home Games Including a Non-Conference Battle

Eight home games, including league matchups with Alabama, Ole Miss, Tennessee and LSU, along with a non-conference home showdown with Southern Cal highlight the 2006 Arkansas Razorbacks football schedule.

The 2006 schedule includes a total of 12 games including six contests in Fayetteville, two in Little Rock and four on the road. The Razorbacks will open the 2006 campaign at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock against Louisiana-Monroe. Arkansas will host perennial national power Southern California in the on-campus opener on Sept. 9. Following a road date at Vanderbilt (Sept. 16), the Hogs will host Alabama in Fayetteville on Sept. 23.

Arkansas will play at Auburn (Oct. 7) before returning to Fayetteville for a three-game homestand against Southeast Missouri State (Oct. 14), Ole Miss (Oct. 21) and Utah State (Oct. 28). The stretch will mark the first time since 2000 and only the second time since 1933 that Arkansas has played on-campus on three consecutive weekends.

The Hogs begin November on the road at South Carolina (Nov. 4). Tennessee rotated back on Arkansas’ schedule and the Volunteers will be in Fayetteville on Nov. 11. The Razorbacks will battle Mississippi State in Starkville, Miss., on Nov. 18 in the final road game of the season. Arkansas rounds out the regular season against LSU at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock on Nov. 25. Although currently scheduled for Saturday, the Arkansas-LSU game has traditionally been moved to Friday to accommodate CBS Sports. Game times and television arrangements will be announced at a later date.
