Eight to earn degree

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – A total of eight current student-athletes from the Arkansas football team are expected to satisfy academic requirements to earn a degree with the completion of the fall semester in Fayetteville. "I’m very proud of the work our eight student-athletes have done," said UA head coach Bobby Petrino. "We put a lot of emphasis on letting our team know their goal is to attain a degree and there is nothing better than seeing an individual do that." Earlier this week, Arkansas football head coach Bobby Petrino honored the achievements of the eight by recognizing them following practice in front of the entire Razorback team. The group includes members of the 2009 senior class that compiled 30 wins, one SEC Western Division title and three January bowl appearances.
