Hargreaves, Ellis Join On The Air With Bret Bielema

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – “On the Air with Bret Bielema,” Coach Bielema’s weekly radio show presented by AT&T and Lindsey, returns on Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Catfish Hole in Fayetteville. First-year linebackers coach Vernon Hargreaves and junior linebacker Brooks Ellis will be the guests on the 10th show of the season as the Razorbacks prepare for Saturday’s SEC road showdown at No. 19 Ole Miss.

Chuck Barrett, the voice of the Razorbacks, will host head coach Bret Bielema and fans can make reservations to attend the show by calling the Catfish Hole at 479-521-7008. Tickets are $25 and include all you can eat dinner buffet with catfish, shrimp and chicken.

In his first season, Hargreaves’ leadership has helped the Arkansas defense rank fifth in the SEC in rushing defense. Under the guidance of Hargreaves, Ellis ranks eighth in the SEC in tackles (66) while freshman Dre Greenlaw has made a successful transition from high school safety to starting linebacker. Greenlaw leads all SEC rookies and ranks fifth among FBS freshmen nationally with 63 tackles. Greenlaw was named the SEC Freshman of the Week after registering 16 tackles in the quadruple-overtime win over Auburn.

Named a captain prior to the start of the season, Ellis has built off his breakout sophomore campaign with his team-leading 66 tackles. Ellis has turned up his play over the last three games with a combined 32 tackles, including a career-best 15 at Alabama. Last week against UT Martin, Ellis came up with his third career interception, which ties him for the active team lead. Ellis’ 66 tackles are just six off his total from the entire 2014 season while his 32 solo stops are three more than last year’s mark.

The show will be carried throughout the state of Arkansas on the Razorback Sports Network and in Fayetteville on 92.1 FM and 93.3 FM.
