Ervin to Washington

FAYETTEVILLE–Former University of Arkansas women’s basketball player Lauren Ervin signed with the WNBA’s Washington Mystics team officials announced last week.

Ervin played two seasons at Arkansas in 2006-07 and 2007-08 before an ACL injury in her senior season ended her collegiate career. Ervin was drafted in the third round of the 2008 WNBA draft by the Connecticut Sun.

Ervin, a 6-4 forward, averaged 16 points and 11 rebounds per game as a senior at Arkansas prior to her injury. She posted 2.0 ppg and 1.6 rpg in her first year with the Sun. Ervin also has a host of international experience with stints in Sweden (2008-09) and Turkey (current). While in Sweden, Ervin averaged 19 ppg and 12.1 rpg and is currently averaging 15.1 ppg and 12.9 rpg in Turkey.
