The Arkansas Lady Razorback tennis team is welcoming two new players for the upcoming spring season, with each player adding their own international flavor. Fien Maes, Belgium, and Anouk Tigu, Holland, each join the Lady’Backs after being heavily recruited as junior players.

The Lady’Backs begin their 2008 spring season January 19 and 20 by traveling to Utah to play Brigham Young and Utah. The first home match will be held on January 26 against Missouri.

Junior Aurelija Miseviciute’s star-studded fall performance has placed her at No. 1 in the preseason ITA rankings for the spring. Miseviciute, a native of Lithuania, completed the fall season with a record of 26-1, while also winning the ITA National Indoor Championship.

The ITA has ranked the Lady’Backs at No. 53 in the nation as a team, five spots above what they ended the 2007 season as. All Lady’Back rankings can be seen on the Fact Sheet link.
