Friendy Affairs
A fan watching finals matches at the Tulsa Hurricane Invitational may
have thought they were seeing double. Two finals matches consisted of
Lady’Backs on each side of the net competing for the championship. In singles,
Audrey Bordeleau won agaist Delia Demaschin, 6-2, 6-0. In doubles, Aurelija
Miseviciute and Ela Kaluder were able to shake off senior Maryori Franco and

Getting the Call:
On Monday head coach Michael Hegarty received an
exciting phone call for the Lady’Backs and Nanar Airapetian.

of the ITA All-American Championships on
September 29-30.
The Hegarty Take:
Lady Razorback head tennis coach Michael Hegarty’s
take on the upcoming ITA All-American Championships: “This
is probably one of our biggest tournaments of the fall season.
The best players in the nation will be there, and this
tournament is basically the NCAAs (NCAA Tournament) of the
fall. As always, we’re hoping to prove ourselves to other teams
and have a good showing.”
Set In Stone:
Although many Lady Razorbacks are looking to qualify for the All-
American Championships this weekend, others are already set to play in the
tournament. Ela Kaluder is set to play in the qualifyers for singles on October
4th, while Maryori Franco and Nanar Airapetian are set to compete in doubles on
the same day. Qualifying takes place on October 3rd and 4th with the
tournament taking place on the 5th, 6th, and 7th.
Others Hoping to Qualify:
Along with Airapetian, two other singles players and one doubles duo will
also be looking to qualify for the All-American Championships in the upcoming
weekend. Aurelija Miseviciute and Delia Demaschin are looking to make it in the
singles draw, while Miseviciute will also be looking to make the tournament in
doubles action with Ela Kaluder.
Different Tournament, Same Result:
For the second straight tournament and second time in as many weeks,
Aurelija Miseviciute faught hard and found herself in the finals of her respective
draw. Although the location and tournament was different, the result did not vary.
At the Tulsa Hurricane Invitational this past weekend, Miseviciute dominated
Tulsa’s Alexandra Kichoutkin, 6-0, 6-0, to win the Gold Draw. At the William &
Mary Tribe Classic, September 14-16, Miseviciute won Flight A after beating
Kellie Schmitt of Marshall, 6-1, 6-2.
Different Tournament, Different Result:

Miseviciute and Ela Kaluder found themselves in the finals of a tournament.
However, this time the result was significantly different. Over last weekend,
Miseviciute and Kaluder claimed the Tulsa Hurricane Invitational’s doubles Red
Draw. In the first tournament of the season, the William & Mary Tribe Classic, the
pair made it to the finals but were stopped short of winning by Penn’s
Kosminskaya and Koulbitskaya, 8-3.
Bob Makes It Two In A Row:
Senior Audrey Bordeleau won her second consecutive
