The Lady Razorback finished the weekend by defeating Missouri, 7-0, including finishing a perfect 9-0 on Saturday. Now, Arkansas will be gearing up for Kansas on Feb. 2, at 1 p.m. This will be Kansas’ first dual match of the 2008 season.

Here is what Michael Hegarty had to say about his team’s performance in their first home match of the season: "It was a very impressive team performace. Our level of intensity from start to finish was the key which kept our momentum going in singles and doubles."

Quick Work:

Junior Aurelija Miseviciute displayed why she is ranked No. 1 in women’s college tennis right now on Saturday. Against Missouri’s Mallory Weber, Miseviciute downed her opponent 6-0, 6-1, before many of the other players began their second set.

Freshman of the Week:

After finishing her first week as a Lady’Back a perfect 3-0 in singles and doubles, Anouk Tigu was honored by the Southeastern Conference as their Freshman of the Week. Tigu kept her streak alive finishing 2-0 against Missouri to push her record to 5-0 overall.
