Fayetteville Featured On Runner's World Runcation List

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Known for its endless miles of trails, mild climate and scenic views, it’s no surprise that Runner’s World listed Fayetteville as one of the top summer runcation escapes in its August 2017 issue.

From paved walkways to grassy paths the Northwest Arkansas hidden gem boasts a multitude of terrains that appeal to runners at every level. Embarking on an early morning excursion, runcationers can generally expect to find a blend of locals and Arkansas Razorback All Americans rounding the same corners and climbing the same hills.

“We have such beautiful scenery and a phenomenal running trail system here in Northwest Arkansas,” head women’s track and field coach Lance Harter said. “Add the temperate climate and it makes Fayetteville an ideal place for people to come and run. The community is safe and very welcoming, embracing runners and cyclists, not just through the trails but with a great variety of restaurants to refuel.”
