FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The final day of the John Hayt Invitational was washed out due to weather on Tuesday as teams began their final rounds, shortening the tournament to 36 holes and allowing the No. 14 University of Arkansas men’s golf team to finish tied for fourth. The Razorbacks were playing their third and fourth holes of the day before the horn sounded sending teams back to the clubhouse. After analyzing the weather and course conditions, tournament officials chose to negate the final round scores that had been played and revert back to the 36-hole scores. The Razorbacks moved up the leaderboard in round two and finished in a three-way tie for fourth at 11-over par. Junior Sebastian Cappelen shot even par for the tournament to tie for 12th individually while senior Austin Cook used a second round score of two-under par to move into a tie for 18th. Arkansas returns to the course March 11-12, when they compete at the General Hackler Invitational.
