Flyover by Fayetteville pilot scheduled for Saturday

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The 90th Flying Training Squadron from Sheppard Air Force Base (Texas) will perform a flyover at the Arkansas-Florida football game Saturday following the national anthem. The 11:30 a.m. game at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium is being televised by Raycom Sports.

Sheppard Air Force Base is the home of Euro NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training, responsible for training all the NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) countries fighter pilots.

Pilots of the four-plane flight from the 90th Flying Training Squadron are First Lieutenant Sean Jones (from Fayetteville, Ark.), Captain Tony Hebert, First Lt. Miles Newsome, First Lt. Curtis Weddle, Capt. Justin Puro, First Lt. Matt Streeton, First Lt. Will Barksdales and First Lt. Mark Schenell.

The T-38C is a twin-engine, high altitude, supersonic fight jet trainer. Air education and training command uses the T-38C to prepare pilots for front-line fight and bomber aircraft such at the F-22 Raptor and the B-2 Spirit.
