FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas football team opened the weekend with their first of two Friday practices this morning.
Offensive line coach Sam Pittman spoke with RazorVision after practice and had high praise for strength and conditioning coach Ben Herbert.
“We have the best strength coach in the country, we believe that and know that,” Coach Pittman said. “You can see, Brey (Cook) posted something on Twitter where he had before and after and his six month transition was incredible. He’s done a great job with us. Our kids will work and we have a great guy to work for. I think he’s doing a great job there in the weight room.”
Coach Pittman also spoke to the progress of the offensive line and how they’ve improved throughout camp so far.
“We’re starting to see things a little bit better before they happen,” Coach Pittman said. “I’ve been real pleased with the progress. We had a nice practice today. As long as we keep going forward, we’ll be okay before the time Louisiana comes in.”
With two-a-days in full swing, Arkansas returns to the practice field for another workout Friday evening.
