Football practice report

The Arkansas football team continued preparation for the Southwest Classic Tuesday with a workout inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Following the practice, UA offensive coordinator Paul Petrino spoke with the media:

On the Texas A&M defense:"They have a real good pass rusher. I think he leads the country in sacks right now. They have been playing hard and they won all three games. I don’t know if I can compare them to anyone we have played, but they are a good team and we have to get ourselves ready to go. As much as anything right now, it is about getting our team ready to play. If we can take care of ourselves and go out and play fast and throw and catch the ball and get our blocks then I think we’ll move the ball. I think we have to believe that no one stops us, we just can’t stop ourselves."

On Lucas Miller:"I was real happy with him tonight. You could tell he was not all the way back last week and he had his best night by far tonight."

On the play of the quarterbacks in practice:"It was better. We had a better day all the way around. The very first part of practice you kind of go through individuals and I think we got better as it went. When we got to seven-on-seven, I think we had one incompletion with the ones. We caught the ball well and that carried over into the rest of practice. As practice went on, you could see everyone coming out of it and working hard and it got a lot better as the day went on."
