Football practice report

The University of Arkansas football team returned to practice Tuesday afternoon. The team practiced inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Following the workout, UA offensive coordinator Paul Petrino spoke with the media:

On Tuesday’s practice:"I thought it was good. I thought our energy was real good. Guys came out there and were really flying around and trying to play fast. They were trying to move around. Like I say every Tuesday, there are some things we have to clean up the next couple of days. This is our first day putting in the plan, but I thought we had great energy and a real bounce in our step. Guys seem excited, fired up and ready to go this week."

On London Crawford:"We’ll keep an eye on him all week and see how he’s doing. He was able to practice today not in yellow and that was good to see. We will judge him each day and see how he comes along. We’ll make our decision at the end of the week."

On the offensive line:"A couple of them had their best games. (Seth) Oxner had the best game he’s had yet. (Mitch) Petrus played well and Ray (Dominguez) had a better game. I think they did a better job up front. They all probably had their best games run blocking. We talk every week that Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are our work days and you can go out and get better. If you can do that it will show up on Saturday and I think we made big strides during the week last week and it showed up during the game. I think we made good strides today at practice. We need to do it again tomorrow and Thursday and we’ll be even better this week than we were last week."

On the Auburn game:"They are undefeated and we are going to be on national television at 11 a.m. It is a big game and we’re going to do everything in our power. The players were real fired up today. I think as a group we’re all real excited to go out there."
