FAYETTEVILLE – The University of Arkansas football team continued practice on Wednesday, just three days away from its season opener against Louisiana inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Assistant head coach and defensive line coach Charlie Partridgespoke to the media after practice about the Razorbacks showing their readiness for game day.
"I really think that you’re starting to see a group that is getting close to being game ready," Coach Partridge said. "What excites us is how they performed at the end of practice and in a day with that kind of heat. We feel pretty good coming off the field."
Defensive coordinator Chris Ash met with the media as well, highlighting the intensity that he expects to see from the Razorback defense on Saturday.
"For us defensively, I want us to be able to get aligned, read our keys, communicate well and when the ball is snapped I want us to be able to fly around with our hair on fire," Coach Ash said. "If we can do that, and we’re in the right spots consistently, we’re going to have success." Kickoff for Saturday’s game is set for 3 p.m. and the game will be televised by FSN. In addition, the game can be seen online here in areas the game is not available on FSN.
