Football team enjoys Thanksgiving

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas football team continued practice Thursday with a morning workout as preparation continues for this Saturday’s game against LSU.

Following the workout, the team enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving lunch in the Miller Room inside the Broyles Center at Noon.

The Razorbacks will hold a walk through Friday morning before flying to Baton Rouge, La., where the team is set to arrive at the hotel in the early evening.

For the first time since 1995, Arkansas will play LSU on a Saturday. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN and kickoff will be at 6 p.m. CT. Brad Nessler, Todd Blackledge and Erin Andrews will call the game.

For the 14th-consecutive year since inception, Arkansas and LSU will be playing for "The Golden Boot," a trophy shaped like the two states combined. The Razorbacks have defeated the Tigers each of the last two seasons. The last time UA beat LSU three-straight years was 1927-29.
