Former Razorback Football Players to Honor Coach Broyles with Fish Fry

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Former Razorbacks that played for former Arkansas head football coach and current athletic director Frank Broyles will honor their former coach this Friday at 6 p.m. in a fish fry at in the east stadium club of Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. The official program will begin at approximately 7:15 p.m.

More than 220 former players and former assistant coaches from 1958-76 have already indicated they will attend the private function including Doug Dickey, Ken Hatfield, Wayne Harris, Loyd Phillips, Terry Don Phillips, Joe Ferguson, Bobby Crockett, Fred Akers, Barry Switzer, Jerry Jones, Bill Montgomery, Ronnie Caveness and Billy Moore. The captains of Coach Broyles’ first team at Arkansas, Richard Bell and Billy Michael, will also attend the festivities and serve as honorary captains for Saturday’s game against South Carolina.

All of the former players will also take part in ceremonies honoring Coach Broyles at halftime of the Arkansas-South Carolina game on Saturday night.
