Four-Game Home Stand Begins Wednesday
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 24 University of Arkansas softball team returns to Bogle Park for a four-game home stand beginning Wednesday against Oklahoma State. First pitch of the midweek matchup is scheduled for 6 p.m. (CT) at Bogle Park. General admission is free for all home games. SEC Network is set to televise the game with Jenn Hildreth and Carol Bruggeman handling the play-by-play and color commentary duties, respectively.

Series vs. Oklahoma State
Wednesday’s game against Oklahoma State will be the 15th meeting between the programs with the series tied at 7-7. Arkansas posted a 7-6 road win at Oklahoma State (March 1) in the first meeting this season. It was the Razorbacks’ first win in Stillwater since 2001.

Arkansas was swept at then-No. 17 Kentucky, losing the three-game set by a combined five runs. Ashley Diaz hit .500 on the weekend with four hits while Tori Cooper and Shelby Hiers each hit a home run in the series.

Arkansas holds steady at No. 25 in the second release of the NCAA RPI (March 27). All eight of the Razorbacks’ SEC opponents are ranked within the top 36. Overall, Arkansas has 17 opponents positioned in the top 80 of the RPI. In additional weekly polls, Arkansas ranks 21st by Fast Pitch News, 23rd in the USA Today/NFCA poll and 24th in the ESPN/USA Softball release.
Milestone Watch
Entering Wednesday’s game, senior Stephanie Canfield sits in third place on the program’s all-time hits list with 221 career hits. She is within six hits of the program record set by Jessica Bachkora (2007-10). Canfield has at least one hit in five of the last seven games.
One Thru Nine
With Shelby Hiers’ two-run shot at No. 17 Kentucky (March 25), Arkansas now has a home run from each spot in its batting order. Hiers has been in the lead-off spot in the lineup since March 7. The Razorbacks lead the SEC and are tied for seventh in the NCAA with 37 home runs this season.
