Four-Match Home Stand Begins vs. Alabama

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Having played five of its first seven conference matches on the road, the University of Arkansas volleyball team begins a four-match home stand Friday evening when it hosts Alabama at Barnhill Arena. First serve of the Southeastern Conference matchup is scheduled for 7 p.m. (CT). Individual tickets are $5 while UA students with valid ID and fans 17 years and younger receive free admission.

All-Time Series
The Razorbacks own a 32-11 advantage in the program’s series against Alabama. However, the Crimson Tide has won the last four meetings. Arkansas has won 18 of the 22 meetings played at Barnhill Arena in Fayetteville. Thirteen of the last 14 matches between the two programs have gone at least four sets.

Building Blocks
With a season-high eight total blocks at Tennessee (Oct. 16), senior middle blocker Ana Sofia Jusino became the 15th player in program history with 300 career blocks. She enters the weekend 50 blocks shy of joining the program’s top-10 list.

Finding Her Rhythm
In a season-high performance, senior co-captain Breana Jones registered 13 kills at Tennessee (Oct. 16) to go along with a .423 hitting percentage. She enters the weekend hitting .360 against conference opponents, good for ninth in the SEC.

Valle Cracks the Top 20
With her fourth dig at No. 23 Kentucky (Oct. 14), sophomore libero Okiana Valle moved into the program’s top 20 in career digs. She averaged 6.29 digs per set last weekend in road matches at Kentucky and Tennessee, and enters Friday’s match third in the SEC at 4.07 digs per set.
