Fourth Place Razorbacks Land 13 USTFCCCA All-Americans

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Following their highest finish in program history the fourth-place University of Arkansas women’s team collected 16 All-American honors spread among 13 student-athletes as announced Monday by the USTFCCCA. Eight student-athletes were named to the first team while three earned multiple accolades. The Razorbacks capped their outdoor season placing in the top five at the 2015 NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Arkansas’ list of All-Americans features South Central Region Runner of the Year Dominique Scott who secured 16 points for the Razorbacks posting runner-up finishes at 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters. Outdoor collegiate record-holder Sandi Morris contributed eight points with her performance in the pole vault an event which saw three Razorbacks score. Arkansas’ multiple All-Americans are Scott (5,000m and 10,000m), Taylor Ellis-Watson for her performance at 400 meters as well as the 4×400 meter relay, and Chrishuna Williams for her efforts at 800 meters and the 4×400 meter relay.

Alex Gochenour – 100m hurdles
Shannon Klenke – 3,000m steeplechase

The top eight finishers in each event at the Division I Championships in Eugene were classified as First-Team All-America while 9-16 were classified as Second-Team. All remaining qualifiers were designated Honorable Mention.
