Forty-five freshmen student-athletes participated in the 2012 Hogs In Transition (H.I.T.) Summer Bridge Program in July. H.I.T. is a high school to college transition seminar series for freshmen student-athletes attending summer session II at The University of Arkansas (UofA).
The overarching goal of H.I.T is to support each student athlete as he/she makes the best use of the available resources. The main objective is to engage participants in interactive learning experiences that challenge their notions about college life while addressing various issues faced by first year college student-athletes. The program intentionally challenges participants to share with and learn from their peers, supporting their overall transition to the UofA while attending the second summer session.
