Full baseball TV schedule announced

FAYETTEVILLE – The Arkansas baseball team will appear on regional or national television a school-record 18 times during the 2011 baseball regular season as the Razorbacks’ full 2011 television schedule was announced on Saturday.The Razorbacks will appear on Cox Sports Television (CST) 10 times, on the ESPN family of networks four times, onSportSouth twice and on Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast (CSS) andFox Sports Net (FSN)once. Ten of the televised games will be at Baum Stadium, while Arkansas’ game at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock will also be shown. Arkansas will have at least one televised game in eight of its 10 conference series, including all three games of the Mississippi State series and two TV games each in the LSU, Georgia, Florida and South Carolina series.Arkansas’ first two television games in 2011 will be shown by CST. The first is Tuesday, March 22, at 6:30 p.m., when the Razorbacks travel to Central Arkansas to face Memphis at Dickey-Stephens Park in North Little Rock. CST will also show the series finale between Arkansas and Vanderbilt on Sunday, March 27 at 1 p.m.A week later, CSS will show the series wrap-up of the Arkansas-Alabama series on Sunday, April 3. First pitch against the Crimson Tide is slated for 1 p.m.The final two games of the series against LSU will be televised. The game on Saturday, April 9, at 7 p.m., will mark Arkansas’ first appearance on an ESPN network in 2011 as that game will be shown by ESPNU. CST will televise the final game of the series against the Tigers on April 10 at 1 p.m.All three games of the Mississippi State-Arkansas series, scheduled for April 15-17, will be televised. The opener of the three-game set, which begins at 7 p.m., will be shown by SportSouth. The final two games against the Bulldogs will air on CST. Saturday’s game will begin at 6 p.m., while Sunday’s contest is scheduled for a 1 p.m., start.Arkansas’ midweek road game at Oral Roberts on Tuesday, April 19, will be shown on CST. The Razorbacks and Golden Eagles will square off at 6:30 p.m. in Tulsa.FSN will show the second game of the series against Kentucky in Lexington, Ky. First pitch against the Wildcats on Saturday, April 23, is set for 6 p.m. Two games of Arkansas’ series at Georgia will be shown on television. The second game of the series on Saturday, April 30, will be shown on ESPN2 with a Noon first pitch. Sunday’s series finale will be televised by CST and will begin at 1 p.m.The second game of Arkansas’ two-game midweek series with Southeast Missouri State will be shown by CST. The series finale against the Redhawks on Wednesday, May 4, will begin at 6:30 p.m.ESPNU will air the first and third games of the series against Florida. The first game of the series is part of the Thursday Night SEC Game of the Week and will begin at 6:30 p.m. The series wrap-up on Saturday begins at 7 p.m.The Saturday and Sunday games of Arkansas’ series at defending national champion South Carolina will be televised. Saturday’s game will be shown on SportSouth beginning at 3:30 p.m., while Sunday’s game will air on CST and start at 12:30 p.m.Arkansas will make its final television appearance of the 2011 regular season on Tuesday, May 17, when it hosts UT Martin. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.CSS and FSN/SportSouth will team up to show every game from the first four days of the 2011 SEC Baseball Tournament in Hoover, Ala. The championship game of the SEC Tournament will be televised by ESPN2 on Sunday, May 29 at 1 p.m.
