Arkansas will look to snap a two-game skid on Saturday when it welcomes Auburn to Bud Walton Arena during the American Cancer Society’s Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers weekend. The Razorbacks boast a 10-1 record at home this season, including a dramatic 87-85 overtime win against Kentucky on Jan. 14. Arkansas’ first five SEC opponents currently hold a 19-6 record in league play, while its last three losses have come by a combined 14 points. The top scoring team in the SEC (82.8), Arkansas is averaging 89.5 points per game at home.

Won 24 of the last 25 games at Bud Walton Arena, including 10 of the last 11 SEC contests.

Trailed for a total of 42:44 at home over 450 minutes in 11 games, and haven’t trailed at all in
five contests.

Arkansas’ first SEC opponent when it joined the league in 1991-92 was Auburn. The two teams met on Jan. 4, 1992, at Barnhill Arena with senior TODD DAY’S then career-high 35 points leading the Razorbacks to a 110-92 victory. Just nine days later, Day poured in 43 points in a win at LSU, while Arkansas went on to win its first 10 SEC home games at Barnhill Arena until, oddly enough, Auburn snapped that streak with a 100-89 victory on Jan. 23, 1993.
Arkansas is 8-4 on Jan. 25, dating back to the 1959-60 campaign, the last year dates are available for each game. Ironically, the Razorbacks’ last two wins on Jan. 25th have been at Bud Walton Arena against Auburn in 2011 and 2012. On this date in 1992, No. 9 Arkansas defeated No. 8 Kentucky, 105-88, in Lexington, Ky. in front of a crowd of 24,324. Led by a combined 60 points from LEE MAYBERRY, OLIVER MILLER and TODD DAY, the Razorbacks picked up their fifth straight SEC win in their first season in the league.
