Gillis Earns Conference Accolade

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — For the second time in her career, junior Nicole Gillis was named the SEC Female Diver of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

The Johannesburg, South Africa, native dominated on the boards once again this past week against Kansas, notching two NCAA Zone scores on the 1m and 3m boards. Gillis recorded the second-best score on the school’s all-time top performers list in the 3m, breaking her lifetime best with a score of 347.93.

On the 1m, Gillis tallied a 303.45 to take first place and now owns the top five scores in the event this season by Arkansas.

Gillis possesses 17 zone qualifying scores this season, with at least one in all three diving events.
