Golden Spikes Award Presentation at 6 pm CT on ESPN

LOS ANGELES – Arkansas outfielder Andrew Benintendi is looking to become the 38th recipient of the USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award Tuesday evening when the announcement is made live on SportsCenter at ESPN’s Los Angeles studio at 6 p.m. CT.

Benintendi is joined by LSU’s Alex Bregman and Vanderbilt’s Dansby Swanson and Carson Fulmer as the four finalists for the prestigious honor, assuring the award will be won by an Southeastern Conference player for the third time in the last four years.

The Golden Spikes Award has been presented by USA Baseball since 1978 to honor the top amateur baseball player in the nation. The award is sponsored by Major League Baseball and is presented in partnership with the Rod Dedeaux Foundation.
