He Said….We are working hard to focus on our next challenge, the NCAA Regional Championships in Ann Arbor, Michigan next weekend. After an uncharacteristic performance at SECs, our team is determined to give everything they have to define themselves and compete to the best of their abilities.I’ve often told the girls this year, it is not how you start the race but how you finish the race that counts the most. Use what you have learned to control that which is controllable.It has been an extremely rewarding year in leading this group of fine young ladies. They have done everything we have asked, and been there for each other. It is also nice to have a team that likes each other so much. Everyday there seems to be uncontrollable laughter before and after workouts: What are they always laughing about? I don’t know,but I’m glad they get along so well. They are a close group, and with so many of them so far from home they have become a true family.
I feel that the camaraderie and love each of these girls has for each other will serve them well as they head into the NCAA Regional Meet. The commitment they have made can only strengthen their resolve and help them to do their best! I am proud to be a coach of this special GymBack team!
