Happy Holidays from the Hog Hoopsters

Well, I like spending the holidays with those I love and who love me. I love this time of year because all my family comes from everywhere to eat and reminisce. It makes me thankful for all my family. I also get kind of sad because I lost the most important person in my life, my grandmother the Rev. Mennje Eunice Nails-White, when I was 12 and at 19 I’m still not over it.

I will be spending my holiday with my mom, dad, brother, sister and the rest of the family who will be attending Christmas dinner at my parents. I also will be spending it with Christina. I might hang out with a couple of friends — it just depends on how I’m feeling but most of it will indeed be spent with family especially since I didn’t get to enjoy Thanksgiving with them — it was my first Thanksgiving away from home.

I’m very grateful for this scholarship that I received and I would like to thank my mom, Anshanette Colbert Brooks, for pushing me and keeping me encouraged. Thanks also to Coach Timothy Eatman for never giving up on me and to everyone else who had faith in me that I would finally be a Razorback.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone — love Q. Williams
