Harter's Squad Picked As SEC Preseason Favorite

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — In a preseason poll of the league’s head coaches, Arkansas was unanimously voted to win a league title once again, as released by the conference Monday afternoon.

The Razorbacks return four All-SEC performers in Taylor Werner, Carina Viljoen, Ashton Endsley, and 2017 SEC Freshman of the Year Lauren Gregory.

Points for the poll were tabulated with one point being awarded for a predicted finish. Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own teams.

The Razorbacks have won four-consecutive SEC Cross Country Championships dating back to 2014.

The 2018 cross country season beings Saturday as reigning SEC Coach of the Year Lance Harter and the Razorbacks travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma to compete at the Hurricane Invitational. The 2018 SEC Cross Country Championships are scheduled to take place Friday, Oct. 26 in Auburn, Ala.
