Hog Golfers Sit in 7th at the Border Olympics

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas golf squad sits in seventh-place after the first two rounds at the 50th Annual Border Olympics on Friday afternoon at the Laredo Country Club in Laredo, Texas.
The Razorbacks shot a combined team total 589 after an opening round 297 and second round 292 and are 13-over but trail the leaders, New Mexico, by 18 strokes.
The Hogs were once again led by senior All-American Craig Lile who sits in fifth-place overall and has a shot on Saturday to claim his fourth individual tournament title of the season. Lile shot 71s in both rounds and at 2-under is trailing the leader Kyle Willmann of Texas Tech by five strokes.
Rounding out the Hogs line-up in Laredo are sophomore Drew Higginbothom in 17th place at 146 (74-72), redshirt freshman Adam Wing in 31st place (76-73), sophomore Beau Galyean in 58th place at 153 (76-77), freshman Kyle Vance in 73rd place at 157 (77-80) and freshman Seth Murphy in 78th place at 157 (77-80).
The Razorbacks will play the final round on Saturday.
