Hog Golfers Sixth After Second Round of Oklahoma Intercollegiate

The Arkansas golf is in sixth place after the second round of the Oklahoma Intercollegiate on Monday at the Oak Tree Golf Club.

The Razorbacks shot an 18-over-par 302 Monday on the par-71, 7,412-yard layout for a 36-hole score of 612. Tulsa leads the event at 594 with LSU in second at 600. The Golden Hurricane turned in the days’ best round, 289, to take the six-stroke lead over the Tigers. Baylor is in third place (606) with Ohio State fourth (608) and host Oklahoma fourth (609).

The Hogs Andrew Landry led the way after the first round, but fell back to fifth place on Monday after a 5-over-par round of 76. He is four strokes back of second-round leader from Tulsa, Sam Korbe, who shot rounds of 72 and 71 (143) for the lead.

Arkansas was much more consistent as a team on Monday as Jason Turner and Jason Cuthbertson both bounced back from rounds of 80 on Sunday to post rounds of 75 and 76, respectively. Turner is tied for 21st position, while Cuthbertson is tied for 27th.

Allen McFerran also rebounded with a solid 75 on Monday to move into a tie for 33rd at 157. Freshman Andrew Hopkins fell back in the second round with an 82 and is in 43rd position.

The final round of the Oklahoma Intercollegiate at the Oak Tree Golf Club is slated for Tuesday morning.
