Hog Golfers Venture to Wolf Run Intercollegiate

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas golf team ventures to Zionsville, Ind., on Saturday to take on a strong field at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate.

The Razorbacks join a 10-team field hosted by the University of Indiana at the Wolf Run Golf Club. The Wolf Run layout was ranked as the 20th-best course in the county according to Golfweek’s America’s 100 Best Modern Courses. The field will play 36 holes on Saturday with the final 18 holes scheduled for Sunday.

Arkansas captured its first tournament title since April 13, 2003, last month with a share of a title at the Del Walker Intercollegiate. The Hogs then finished 7th at the Wolf Pack Classic last week in Reno, Nev.

The Hogs will send a five-man team to the course Saturday that includes sophomores Jason Tuner, Andrew Landry and Jason Cuthbertson along with senior Beau Glover and junior Scotty Campbell.

Cuthbertson is the Razorbacks leading scorer after first two tournaments of the 2006-07 season. He boasts a 71.67 scoring average, edging Turner, who is averaging 72.17 strokes per round.

The Wolf Run Intercollegiate includes host Indiana, Xavier, Georgia Southern, Louisville, Michigan, Missouri, Kentucky, Central Florida and Memphis.

The Razorbacks are paired with Michigan in Saturday’s opening round and will tee off at 9:18 a.m.
