Hog Netters Set to Compete in Navy Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas’ tennis team will send seven players to Annapolis, Md. to compete in the Navy Invitational beginning Friday.

The Hogs return to Navy for the second consecutive season, after six players combined to go 14-4 in the tournament a year ago.

Razorback Coach Robert Cox will have three returnees from the 2005 squad competing this weekend. Junior Andrei Nicoara and sophomores Michael Jung and Jimmy Khougassian are set for their second straight weekend of action this fall. Nicoara, Jung and Khougassian each split their two matches last weekend at the Wichita Invitational.

Four newcomers will make their collegiate debut in Annapolis. Redshirt Freshmen Braden Burks and Brian Yanulis, along with true Freshmen Austin King and Blake Strode will make their first appearance as Razorbacks.

The Navy Invitational begins Friday and will run through Sunday. Results will be posted on www.hogwired.com.
